Well, it's been a while since I've been able to post an update. It is now It's been so busy that I haven't had the chance to write or upload pictures.
So, back to August 8 in Hong Kong. This was my first full day in Hong Kong, but I woke up with a bit of a cold, probably from all the travelling and weird sleep schedule.
I went down to the breakfast buffet and realized that this was the same restaurant that I had been in five years before with my dad for a dinner buffet. I they had all kinds of fruits and breads, and a variety of foods including standard western stuff and also stuff like dim sum, fried rice, etc. I definitely could get used to eating dim sum for breakfast.
After that I was still not feeling very well, so I decided to go find a store and try to get some cold medicine. Since I knew the area near the previous hotel from five years ago, I went over there and found a store brands or even the same active ingredients in the cold medicines, so I basically just took the suggestion of the girl at the counter.
I walked around the area a bit and then headed up through Hong Kong Park where I stopped for a while to do some girl watching. I was a little bit disappointed that the fashionable hairstyles currently are very short. In fact some girls had their hair so short that it was like a crew cut almost. is getting popular in Taipei, although not as much.)
Last time I was here this was a simple tram ride, with a couple of shops and a few street vendors at the top. This time it was changed completely. Now there were two entire malls at the top, several restaurants, and a few now.
After walking around for a while to look at what is there, I chose one of the restaurants and had some Singapore Noodles which came with Satay. The restaurant had a nice view of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.
After a while I went back down the tram to Central district and wandered back to the hotel and ate some of the fruit from the welcome fruit basket for dinner and then went to bed early.
